Project Evo X part 1: A summary
by Seth Hester on 2/8/2011

This is my personal car, and will be serving as Evolutionm.net's Project Evo X.  Before I go forward, I wanted to give short summary of what I have upgraded so far:

Ultimate Racing 2pc upper intercooler pipe
Ultimate Racing O2 downpipe
Ultimate Racing test pipe
T1R 76S cat-back exhaust
K&N drop in filter
GST boost pill
Dyno tweaked base map from Razorlab/Bryan from GST

Here is a picture of the Ultimate Racing O2 downpipe and test pipe from the day they shipped.  Sorry about the wrap, it is almost a two year old picture.  I have been very happy with these parts!  The fitment is spectacular, and the price value for quality was very good.

I currently have a T1R 76S exhuast, but started out with the Ultimate Racing single exhaust.  I was much happier with the weight and fitment of the Ultimate cat-back, but I had to replace it.  The reason is that I have two children and a wife to think of, and need the most absolute quiet exhaust I could find and still keep performance of an aftermarket unit.  The T1R accomplished that, and was totally wife approved.

Here is the dyno tune.  I don't still have a graph of the stock pulls, as this shop has since closed due to the economy.  The car baselined at 222whp; Dyno Dynamics are a bit stingy.  The red runs are all mods listed above, the blue run was everything above with the stock cat-back instead of the T1R.

I have Recaro Young Sport seats for my kids.  They are quite secure and go great with the Evo's interior!

Coming next installment: CBRD FMIC and upper intercooler pipe.
